Domino Inspiration

I love the magazine "Domino" so much and today on SCS the inspiration challenge was to use a room from the Domino photo galleries for inspiration. It was very hard to choose from the 50 rooms but I chose to use this room for my inspiration. I love the crisp, clean look of the room.
Here is the card I created. I used an older, but still current, favorite set , Baroque Motifs. I stamped the large swirl background using Baja Breeze ink onto Baja Breeze cardstock to give that tone on tone look (notice the wall of the room, it has this behind the pictures). Then the other images are stamped and the baja breeze medallion is cut out and popped up using dimenisonals. The center image is stamped in basic black and punched out using the 1/2" circle punch and is popped up using dimensionals and has a sweet little rhinestone brad in the center.

Stamps: Baroque Motifs, Hugs & Wishes
Paper: Basic Black, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Baja Breeze
Access: White Taffeta Ribbon, Dimensional Adhesive, Lt. Blue Rhinestone Brad
Tools: 1/16" Hole Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Paper Snips

Enchanted Inspiration

Happy Saturday!! That means Inspiration Challenge day on SCS. The challenge today is to use a dress from a movie as inspiration for your card. I chose this dress Amy Adams wore in the movie Enchanted. The card I created uses the Bali Breeze DSP which I absolutely love. I cut out the larger of the flowers and popped it up with dimensional adhesive. The sentiment is also popped up over the ribbon.

Ink: Groovy Guava
Access: Gold Brads, Dimensional Adhesive, Groovy Guava Ribbon

Inspiration Saturday

Seaside Blooms

Today is Inspiration Challenge over at SCS. My favorite of all the challenges they host. The inspiration piece is this beautiful seaside bracelet.

Here is the card I designed for the challenge. I love the soft blues and green hues that are in the bracelet. I stamped the images in Basic Gray, and used the Aqua Painter to watercolor the flowers with Soft Sky and Blue Bayou. I used the silver brads to bring in the silver from the bracelet. I have been wanting to use this new set and today was the day. Finished size of card is 4-1/2" square.

Stamps: Bloomin' Beautiful
Paper: Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, Blue Bayou, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Gray, Soft Sky, Blue Bayou
Accessories: Silver Brads, Paper Piercing Kit, Wild Wasabi Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensional Adhesive
