It's A Stampin' Up! Halloween

Where did the month of October go? I have been a bit MIA for the past two weeks as I prepared swaps and attended the Portland, Oregon SU! Regionals, then upon my return the weSTAMP Meetup, then my birthday, and on Friday - Sunday our family went to Tempe for the ASU Homecoming Events including the parade, block party and the game, so I believe it is true that time flies when you are having fun.

I love to decorate the house for Halloween, so today I wanted to share some of my decor with you. I went through the house and took pictures of all the Halloween decorations I made this year. SU! Decor Elements make it so easy to create home decor items, they aren't just for walls.

I used the Spooky Things Decor Elements and the Black Flourish Designer Jewels to decorate these pumpkins for my entryway table. I used the Big Shot and the Leaves #2 Die for the leaves on top.

The candy jar is decorated with the Spooky Spider decor elements.

A simple 11" x 14" black frame is transformed with a piece of Designer Series Paper that has been stamped and a part of the Spooky Things Decor Elements placed on the front of the glass.

The Haunted House is from the Design-a-House that comes unassembled and unfinished so you can create your own look. After assembly, I used Glossy Black spray paint and then sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on. I also used Vellum stamped with the Wicked Cool set for the windows. The Bitty Bat punch was used to punch out several bats from the designer series paper and placed on wire that I twisted to hold them in place.

Of course Bella Grace (My SU! Build-A-Bear) has to be dressed for the occasion with her witch hat and glow bracelets.

I hope you all have a Happy Halloween and don't eat too much candy.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!!!
I wanted to share a home decor project that I made for Valentine's Day decorating. I saw this idea in the February Stampin' Success, this is the monthly publication from Stampin' Up! that is sent to all demonstrators, and knew I wanted to make one for my home.

I used On Board chipboard Heart shapes and covered them with DSP, also used the Full Heart Punch, and Big Shot Sizzlets Hearts from DSP in colors of Pretty in Pink, and Rose Red and glitter of course to had some bling! To hang the wreath I used our Rose Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.

Close up of the top portion of the wreath.

I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day....hugs the one's you LOVE!

My Crazy Week and Candy Jars!!!!!

Hello friends, it has been a crazy week. I have so much to share and don't even know where to begin. So I will just dive right in......the week started off good, on Monday I had some time to stamp and create.
Tuesday
however wasn't so good, we spent most of the afternoon and early evening in the Emergency Room with our son Bryan, who was having acute abdominal pain while at school on the campus of ASU in Tempe. We drove down to check him out and ended up in the ER...no official cause, and he is improving daily.
Then came Wednesday, a day of running errands and shopping. Kelsey called in a panic that her car wouldn't start......so I had to leave my half-full cart at COSTCO and go pick her up and take her back to PVCC. Then went back to COSTCO to complete my shopping. Then to pick her up again and deal with the car....thankfully it was only a dead battery. With that taken care of I met my firend Vicki for dinner at Chili's and then finally was able to get home and relax, of course this meant doing a little stamping, it is my therapy!
Now we are up to Thursday, the morning was good, met my friend Linda for lunch at BJ's and we enjoyed our lunch and talking about stamping. As soon as I left the restaurant, my husband was on his way home from working at the ER, he had been sent home because he has the H1N1 flu.......eek!!!!! I got home and started cleaning like crazy and spraying Lysol on everything. Most of yesterday, I took care of him and also did some stamping, again I need my therapy!!
Yeah!!!! Today is Friday and Bryan is all better and going to work tonight, Paul is still very sick and so far Kelsey and I are okay. I managed to upload some pictures so I can have something to share.

I created these fun hand-stamped tags to tie on decorative jars that I have Halloween candy in, they sit on the dining room buffet. I love the way this looks........cute, festive and also yummy!
