Janice visited Arizona

My direct upline with Stampin' Up!, Janice Weightman, came from the cold of Chicago, Illinois to sunny Phoenix, Arizona this weekend. She set up a meetup for the area demonstrators from her group, the Stampahowlics. We met at "The Place" on Saturday morning, 11 of us attended. We enjoyed sharing business ideas, swapping cards, and a delicious breakfast.

AZ Stampahowlics

I was recognized for being in the top 20 for sales, in our group, for the month of February.

Here is a close up of the card from Janice

We love to swap cards any chance we get. Janice's meetup was no different. Here is the card I created to swap with the group.

I used the Incredible Like You Stamp Set and Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies from the 2019 Occasions Catalog. The colors are Berry Burst, Granny Apple Green and Whisper White.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have a wonderful creative day.

Happy Birthday Ryder!

It is so hard to believe that this young man is 9 years old already. He is so smart, caring, loving, a great big brother and a super awesome baseball player. I started being his nanny when he was only 4 months old. I love spending time with him.

Chocolate on Chocolate Cake made by his mom.

This is the card I made for him. I used the Detailed Birthday Edgelits, saying is from the Better Together set, in bright colors.

He loved the Remote Control 360 we gave him for his birthday and shirt and shorts outfit.

Thanks or stopping by today to see what I've been busy creating. Have a creative day!

Leaving An Impression - My Retreat Demonstration

I love sharing my paper-crafting art with others. Amy asked me to do a Stamping demonstration at the retreat. There were 5 demonstrators that did a 10 minute rotating demonstration for all attendees.

My demonstration was a technique using punches to create a background for a card layer. I searched and could not find a name for it so I am calling it "Leaving An Impression"

Whisper White Cardstock and 3/4", 1", 1-1/4" Circle Punches

Circles of all three sizes randomly adhered to the card layer

The one above was run through the Big Shot with the Subtle Embossing Folder after adhering the punched images on the card layer. It adds another touch of depth to the background.

Pear Pizzazz Cardstock (left Sample) and Granny Apple Green Cardstock (right) with Leaf Punch

Adhere punched leaf shapes randomly on card layer

Pool Party Cardstock with Pool Party Cardstock

Whisper White Cardstock with Cake Builder Punch - images adhered in 2 lines vertically

Whisper White Cardstock with Cake Builder Punch - images adhered randomly

I hope you enjoyed seeing this fabulous technique that will add a little dimension to your card layer backgrounds. Thanks for stopping by, leave a comment I love hearing from you. Have a creative day!

Getting Retreat Ready

I am very excited to be attending a weekend craft retreat hosted by my friend, Amy Combs, in Simi Valley, California.
"Amy's Birthday Bash Celebrating Stampin' Up!'s 30th Birthday"

I have designed these favors to give each attendee as is a tradition for the event. It is so fun to walk in and see all the creative favors from each person.

Front of Favor Pouch

Back of Favor Pouch

48 Favors ready to go! I placed Ghirardelli chocolates in these but there are many small things that would fit in the pouch such as Tea bags, Small post-it-note pads, etc.

I will post a tutorial later on today to show you how I to made these favor pouches. So be sure to check back.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I look forward to reading your comments. Have a creative day!
