Scissor Pouch

Here is a fabric project that I created...at least I haven't seen it on any blogs yet. I have been working on this for a couple of days now trying to work the kinks out.
I needed a pouch to carry my scissors so they are not loose in my stamp bag. I came up with this idea for a pouch....I used the Pennant Die, and sewed them together with batting in the middle.

The ribbon closure threads thru the scissor handles holding them in place. I decorated the closure with a flower using the scallop circle that is on the pennant die and also two circles from the Circles 2 Die. I used Velcro to hold it closed.

Here it is without the scissors in the pouch.

I am doing these for a swap and will post a tutorial once the swap is closed. For more details or to purchase one for yourself, please email me.

Big Shot, Felt and Circles Die

Felt Flower
Look at how gorgeous this is.....I made this from felt, using needle and thread and a simple pearl button. I cut the felt with the Circle Die and my Big Shot machine.....if you don't have this, you need to get yourself one!!! I saw this idea on Trina's SU! page and wanted to give it a try.....so super easy!

Ove this, want to buy one or some.....I am in the process of making several different colors and will have them for sale. Please contact me if you are interested and want a specific color.

Leadership 2010 - Day Three

Friday was the final day of Leadership. The morning was spent in classes, which again were so informative. I enjoyed hearing some of the new tricks using My Digital Studio in the advanced class. I attended the Gathering New Leads class and while we were waiting for it to begin I saw these two fabulous friends......

Patty Bennett and Me :)

Me :) with Stella MacKay (my secret sister on SA)

Me :) at the entrance to the Gathering Place, display boards, Memento Mall, Lunch, and Make & Takes were held in this room.

Another beautiful table set for lunch with lemon water, salad and a Raspberry White Chocolate dessert cup. All very delicious!!

Oh wait, it's 2 courses, this was the entree...chicken with cranberry glaze over mashed potatoes and vegetables.

Sara, my roommate and friend, had the vegetarian entree....looks really good!!

After lunch will be Closing Session, here are Staci and Sara first in line to get seats when the doors open.

Sara and Me :)

Me :) and Yapha

Waiting for general session to start....
L to R: Shelley, Yapha, Lyssa, Allison
Front: Lorri

L to R: Laurie, Staci, Sara

L to R: Allison, Desiree, Laurie
Front: Corinne

Prize Patrol winner...Allison!!!

Shelli presented the Bright Idea Award to Jill Olson for her use of the Big Shot machine and Dies using Textiles...she made some beautiful quilts, table runners, and clothing that were on display in the Gathering Place. Then she showed us this beautiful pillow, and then WE ALL GOT A QUILT BLOCK....we can use this to show our customers another way to use the Big Shot.....Shelli picked out the fabrics, and the staff at the home office brought in their own sewing machines and made 1000 quilt blocks for us...that makes each quilt block extra special.

After a few more announcements and a highlight video Shelli walked out on stage and said she had forgotten to show us this card..hmmmmmm but we don't have a stamp set like this......
then she announced.... "YOU ALL GET THIS SET" which will be in the next Mini Catalog......this set is called Elements of Style and is from Shelli's Signature Collection.

How exciting to have experienced Leadership with one of my downline, Lorri Heiling!

My roommates - Laurie, Me:), Sara

My friends: Yapha, Staci, Lyssa, Shelley

We went to Scottsdale for dinner at P.F. Chang's and more shopping at Kierland Commons.
I really had an incredible time, met some fabulous people and really didn't want the event to end. Looking forward to seeing everyone at Convention!!

Leadership 2010 - Day Two

Thursday was the first general session....so much excitement as the doors opened and everyone runs to get a seat....thanks to Sara for getting us front row seats. The stage was set for the conference "Love What You Do"

Dancing to the music with Ellen Richardson from the SU! home office.

Me:) with my friend, Laura Fernsler

Another highlight of general session is when the Prize Patrol delivers FREE stuff - my friend Shelley wins!! Lyssa looks on in excitement as her roommate wins!!!!

After general session we went downstairs and look what we saw upon entering the Gathering Place, beautiful tables all set for lunch......

Grilled Chicken Salad, beautiful presentation and very delicious

Dessert...yes please.... Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Ganache, Raspberries and Blueberries over top......very rich and very good....yes I ate the entire thing!

After lunch we had our break-out classes which were so informative and I loved each one. The My Digital Studio class and the Social Media were my favorites.

This evening some of the gals went to the Manager's Reception; I did not attend so took everyone that was left behind and went to the Tempe Marketplace...we had dinner at Paradise Bakery and then did some shopping before returning to the hotel.
