Color Confections - Christmas

At Convention there was a huge display that was set up to look like a Bakery or Sweet Shop called "Color Confections". Everything in this display was made using Stampin' Up! cardstock, designer papers, and accessories.

Today I am featuring the Christmas Display, which was one of my favorites. It shows many of the items that are now available to demonstrators only during the pre-order. For customers, you can begin ordering on September 1st.

Jacob Romi Rivas was born on Tuesday, August 3rd at 4:30 pm (Arizona time). He weighed 7 lbs, 11.8 ozs and was 21 inches long.

Kelsey and I designed this sign to welcome Baby Jacob. It is 12" x 12" and will be put in a frame to hang in his room. I saw this idea at Convention and knew it would be the perfect thing to make for a new baby.

Can You Say Flower Power Party.......

......Yes we can, Stampin' Up! style. On Wednesday evening, during Convention, Stampin' Up! threw a Flower Power Party and challenged everyone to dress in their grooviest clothes.
From Left to Right: Jane, Me, Madonna, Linda R.
Here we are waiting in line for the doors too open......all dressed and ready to do the hoola-hoop, play twister, and be with friends.

My Groovy Group!!
Back Row: Pam, Linda B., Diane, Linda R. Laura, Anita
Front Row: Madonna, Melissa, Me, Lorri

After the party was over, we went back to our hotel and had our group gift exchange. It has become a tradition that we exchange gifts with each other at Convention. These ladies are so talented and I loved all the wonderful gifts I received.

Today I will show you the gift that I made for everyone in my group that attended convention. I made a magnetic board, customized with the first letter of each person's name. They are 8" x 8" and the ribbon is attached through Jumbo Eyelets.(I used the Crop-A-Dile to punch the holes and set the eyelets). I used Sweet Pea DSP (now retired). There were several different designs.

Magnetic Board

Close up of Magnets that I made for each, designed based on which piece of paper I used from the DSP pack. I used one button magnet and 2 small clothespins with magnets attached on the back. I covered them in DSP and decorated each one. Also I printed the Convention Logo off the computer and had that hanging off one of the magnets.

So much fun and I will share some of the other gifts with you later on this week. Thanks for stopping by and check back for more convention pictures and swap cards.
