Day 1 of Amy's Birthday Bash Stampin' Up! Retreat

After the almost 7 hour drive from Phoenix, AZ to Simi Valley, CA in rain, heavy at times...I arrived at the event.
This was a delightful WELCOME to the event!  Amy goes over and above with every detail.

After Check-In, I entered the ballroom and found my seat...I am always blown away by her creativity and it all is color coordinated with the theme. Look at the fun things waiting for me!

Getting Retreat Ready

I am very excited to be attending a weekend craft retreat hosted by my friend, Amy Combs, in Simi Valley, California.
"Amy's Birthday Bash Celebrating Stampin' Up!'s 30th Birthday"

I have designed these favors to give each attendee as is a tradition for the event.  It is so fun to walk in and see all the creative favors from each person.

It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas

Today I started decorating our home for Christmas.  This is a process spread over many days to get it all done.  Are you finished decorating?  In between decorating, I take breaks and create some projects in the Stampin' Studio.

Today I want to share a Handmade Christmas Ornament that I designed for a gift exchange later this month.

I used the All is Bright Designer Series Paper from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.  Lots of cutting, scoring and hot glue (burned fingers) and this is the finished project.  I love adding touches of metallic shine, I added gold metallic thread, gold metallic pearls and gold edged ribbon.

I am glad you stopped by today.  As always, I love reading your comments about my projects, so I hope you will take a moment to leave one below.

Have a creative day friends!
