Sketch Challenge Wednesday - Snow Burst

This is the card I created for the Sketch Challenge today on SCS. Love these challenges and I am happy to join in the fun again.

I used some of the leftover DSP & CS I had from the Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' Kit. I used the Snow Burst and Warm Words Stamp Sets. The colors are Real Red, Wild Wasabi, and Bashful Blue. I stamped the images in all three colors and then stamped the large snowflake again in Real Red and cut out the center image and popped up this piece using foam tape. I used the Bashful Blue brads to accent the strip in the center of the card. I stamped the "be merry" saying from Warm Words Stamp Set in Basic Black on the lower right corner of the card. Of course, I added Diamond Stickles for some sparkle. I hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

SCS - Today's Color Challenge

Here is my card for today's color challenge on SCS. The challenge is to use Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron and Real Red as your color theme. I love these colors together.
I used the So Much stamp set. I also used the Three for You punch and the Spring Bouquet Flower Punch for some added touches. The center of each Three for You punched flower has a gold brad and they are mounted using glue dots. I stamped the circle images with Tempting Turquoise Ink on Tempting Turquoise Cardstock. The flower image is stamped in Real Red and I used the Aqua Painter to color in the flower. I mounted this flat onto the So Saffron & Real Red square piece of card stock. The 4 corners of the So Saffron have been punched using the Ticket Corner Punch. I then added gold brads to each corner. Then used Dimensional foam tape to pop it up off the Tempting Turquoise stamped panel, added some Real Red grosgrain ribbon and flat mounted the Tempting Turquoise pieces to the front of a folded 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of So Saffron, scored and folded in the middle. Viola! it is complete.

Homecoming Weekend

It is finally Monday morning and the weekend was a complete blur! Why you ask? This was Homecoming Weekend for Kelsey. She is a Junior at Pinnacle High School. The game was Friday night and the Homecoming Dance was Saturday night. She went with a group of girlfriends. I just loved her dress and so did she.

Beate's Wednesday Tutorial on SCS was for a String Spinner/Suspension Card. Of course, I was up for the challenge. Tag Card - DTGD Yvette Challenge

One of the challenges that SCS offered during their 3rd Anniversary was tag cards. I love these cards and now that I am home from convention I have time to stamp and do challenges again.
My Tag Card was for Yvette's Tag Card Challenge. The Tag Card measures 9" x 5 1/2", and is scored at 3" and 6". The only rule was to use only one stamp set, and any sentiments used needed to be from that stamp set. I used the Garden Whimsy Stamp Set. The colors are Lavender Lace, Lovely Lilac, Groovy Guava & Whisper White. The small images of the snail, one of the ladybugs and the large butterfly in the center are cut out and dimensionals are added to make it pop off the paper.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

My Convention Card Swaps

Card Fronts I made for general swapping at convention. I used the Bodacious Bouquet and Warm Words Stamp Sets. The oval punches
were used to layer the saying.

More card fronts for general swapping at convention. This was a shape card for a baby outfit. The whisper white card stock is the shirt and the colors (sage shadow, pretty in pink, barely banana, bashful blue, blush blossom) are the outfit. Complete with white brads to look like snaps on the shoulder.
I used the small tag punch to cut out each little pocket stamped with the image from Greetings Galore. Each color was stamped with the same ink pad color to get a tone on tone image. I punched the saying with the word window punch and attached with eyelets. Alot of cutting and details, but a fun project to share.

Another card front that I made for general swapping at convention.
This card features watercoloring and dazzling diamonds glitter
in the center of each flower.
The stamp sets I used are Sassy Stems and Sincere Salutations.
The colors are Always Artichoke, So Saffron, Rose Red, Almost Amethyst.

I only made a few of these for general swapping. I couldn't wait to play with new things. I used the Priceless stamp set. The colors are Groovy Guava,
Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac. The new Photo Corner Punch highlights the corners of the card. Each flower is cut out and popped up with deminsionals.

These are full cards I made for an organized convention swap on SCS, for WOW! cards. The idea was to make a card using a unique fold, type of opening or technique. These were my creations. Both were a great deal of work with extra details added.

Unfrogettable:
The slit punch with ribbon creates a tab to hold the card closed. When you open it it has a frog stamped and popped up.

Artfully Asian: A variation of a pocket card. The greeting slides out from the side where the circle punch creates a tab to pull.

My Convention ATC Swaps

These are the ATC's I made for general swapping
at convention.
Sets used: Unfrogettable
Be Happy
Flaky Friends

These are the ATC's I made for an organized convention swap by
marthaunplugged on SCS.
The technique I chose was faux stitching.
I used the Just Like You set. The colors are Lavender Lace, Elegant
Eggplant, Apricot Appeal and Whisper White.

These are the ATC's I made for an organized convention swap by marthaunplugged on SCS. The technique I chose was marbeling.
I used the Tagger's Dozen stamp set. The colors are Not Quite Navy
& Purely Pomegranate.

After my downline started hers, I decided I just have to give it a try. I hope you will enjoy all the creativity that I will be sharing with you. Ready, Set, Go!!
