Tissue Pack Wrap Tutorial

TISSUE PACK WRAP TUTORIAL

As I promised yesterday, the Tutorial is ready to go. I was inspired by a demonstrator at convention who made these. I basically measured the pack of tissues I purchased and then made my pattern

Things you will need:

Stamp Sets I used Snow Buddies, Serene Snowflakes, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Basic Grey, Bashful Blue
Markers: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Only Orange
Cardstock:
Base (Bashful Blue shown) 4-1/2" x 8-1/2"
Whisper White layer (shown stamped with snowman) 1-5/8" x 1-7/8"
Brocade Blue layer 1-3/4" x 2"
Accessories:
Ribbon - 15"
Pocket Pack of Tissues
Scoring Tools
SNAIL adhesive
Dimensionals
Sticky Strip
Paper Snip
Scallop Oval or Large Oval Punch

Begin by cutting the Bashful Blue Cardstock to 4-1/2 x 8-1/2"

If using a scoring board, score along the 8-1/2" edge as follows:
2" - 3" - move left edge of paper to 1/4" mark and score at 5-1/2" - 6-1/2"













If using a Bone Folder with a ruler, use the marks on the grid paper, score along the 8-1/2" edge as follows:
2" - 3" - 5-1/4" - 6-1/4"















Stamp the Snowflake images using Bashful Blue Ink onto the Bashful Blue cardstock. I used the three different images and did random stamping all over.















Use an Oval Punch to punch an opening in the center of the largest end panel (2-1/4")














Place sticky strip on the underneath (unstamped) side along this edge.















Place Ribbon in the middle portion of the cardstock and tie a knot on top closer to the right side.















Stamp the "get well wishes" under the knot but above the score line.

Fold along all score lines; using a pencil, mark where the oval should be punched on the other end panel.















Punch the oval.














Now you are ready to assemble















Place the tissue pack in the center















Fold the shortest end in first














Remove the protective cover from the sticky strip adhesive















Then fold the largest (2-1/4") end over on top of the smaller panel and making sure to align the ovals. Press to adhere.

I stamped the snowman in Basic Grey and colored in the images with markers.
Then mounted this onto the Brocade Blue layer. Using Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere this to the top over the ribbon.

weSTAMP Swap Card

Glad you stopped by to see what I have to share today. Tonight is the September weSTAMP meeting and I always have so much fun seeing everyone again. Pam is giving us a presentation of the My Digital Studio which I can't wait to learn more about. But, swapping is the most fun and everyone always loves this part of the meeting. The swap theme this month was to use anything from the Holiday Mini Catalog to create a full card.

Tissue Pack Wrap Make & Take

September to Remember Event.........

I was so fortunate to be able to attend this wonderful event on Saturday. Diana Gibbs, current Artisan Award Winner and Rhonda Morgan, both Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, were the gals that organized the event and they had everything done to perfection. It was so much fun to meet new stampin' friends and hear the wonderful Linda Hansen (ex Stampin' Up! employee), from Salt Lake City, UT speak to us. She is so awesome and I had the pleasure of having lunch with her. I loved the make & take projects, plus the generous bag of Stampin' Up! goodies we received upon check-in. Diana, Rhonda and Linda did 20 minute demonstrations and several of us brought display boards to show off our creativity. Of course there was swapping!!!

It's What's For Dinner....

My family requests me to make this all the time, ....shhh!.... don't tell them how easy it is to make. I developed this recipe for Chicken Enchilada Casserole because I do not like the mess, or extra calories, of corn tortillas fried in oil, rolled up with the ingredients inside, only to have them fall completely apart when you put them in the dish to bake. So here is my quick & easy recipe....I promise everyone will love it!

Barbara’s Chicken Enchilada Casserole
Serves 6

5 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
Cooked and Diced
1 - 16oz. Can Enchilada Sauce
1 - 15 oz. Can Black Beans
2 cups shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1 - 10 oz. Bag of Fritos® Corn Chips, crush 2 cups; set aside remainder
Iceberg Lettuce, washed and shredded
Sour Cream

Spread a small amount of olive oil in the bottom of a 9” x 13” baking dish. Spread 3 Tbsps. sauce on the bottom of dish, then layer all ingredients in the following order: beans, diced chicken, cheese, Fritos®, sauce, beans, diced chicken, cheese, Fritos®, top with remaining sauce. Cover with aluminum foil.

Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil and return to oven for 5 minutes.

Serve with shredded lettuce, sour cream and Fritos® Corn Chips.

In Memory of Nana

We went to the cemetery today to place flowers on the grave of Paul's mother, a.k.a. Nana. She passed away on March 30th of this year, it does not seem like almost 6 months have passed. Today is her birthday and this was the first one since her passing.

Here are some pictures I took while we were there today.

This beautiful fountain is close to her grave. I love water fountains and the soothing sounds that come from them.

Dazzling Divas Downline Meeting & Shoebox Swap

Last night we gathered at my home for the September downline meeting. Everyone brought delicious food to share. We decided to change things up a bit and do a shoebox-style swap instead of our regular format this month. Wow, what a great idea...we had so much fun creating each project and lots of chit-chat as well. We had a lot to catch up on! Each of us created our project with a Fall theme and then brought enough supplies pre-cut and ready to go for each other to create the project. We had 5 people participating. So we each made 4 projects. Here are the projects I made last night:

weSTAMP August Meeting

Happy Monday and Happy Labor Day! I have been very busy this past week and realized I had not posted my swap from the weSTAMP meeting.

Here is my swap, the theme was anything goes for Fall or Halloween.
I made this adorable treat pouch ( inspired by my friend SharonBridwell) by using 2 scallop squares cut using the Big Shot and the Clear Scallop Square Die. I also made the pumpkin using oval punches: 3 large ovals and 2 small ovals.

Stampin' Addicts Blog Tour - August 2009

Blog Update

I think it is time to do some blog remodeling, so I have updated my blog a bit. The new blog header is my Build-a-Bear from Convention, her name is Bella Grace. She is surrounded by all of my swaps that I made for convention, both general and organized. What do you think? I hope you like it.

Stampin' Up! Convention Swaps - part three

Hello Again......glad that you have stopped in. Today I will share with you the 3-D swaps I made for general swapping at convention. I didn't make very many of these type of swaps, but I wanted to have some to swap just in case I saw others swapping 3-D items.

Below: Refrigerator Magnets using the Big Shot and Flower Layers #3 Die to form layered flowers with Build-a-Brad centers and a small magnet on the back. Some had a large stamped image from the Circle Circus set in the center.















Below: Bookmarks (idea cased from Patty Bennett) featuring the In-Colors. I used the Circle Circus stamp set image to stamp directly onto the Whisper White computer generated bookmark panel with each of the NEW In-Colors. I cut a 1" square of each of the NEW In-Colors and adhered it to the bookmark panel. I laminated each one and used an In-Color ribbon on the top.



















Below: Bag Tags featuring the In-Colors. I used the Circle Circus set to stamp the image with each NEW In-Color ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then punched each image with the 3/4" Circle Punch. Each 1" square is cut from each NEW In-Color cardstock and both adhered to the computer generated panel. I used the oversized name badge pouches (purchased at Office Max) to put them in. I also used a piece of the In-Color Ribbons at the top.

My Convention Swaps - part one

I am still alive and well......just have been so busy with everyday life since my return from Salt Lake City. I had a wonderful time at Convention, I went with two other gals, Pam and Linda, from the weSTAMP group and it was there first convention and my 9th. That added to my excitement seeing them enjoy all that Stampin' Up! has to offer us at convention. I have soooooo many photos and things to share with you, I don't even know where to begin. I tried posting from my hotel, but the camera and my laptop were not wanting to communicate late at night so I finally just gave up.

Convention Check-In Day

Hello everyone I am so excited to be in Salt Lake City for the annual Stampin' Up! Convention. Today was the first official day of convention. However, I arrived on Tuesday afternoon, and immediately started feeling the excitement with all the other demonstrators around.

Wednesday was check-in day, swapping and memento mall shopping. Stampini' Up! is offering some awesome items this year as well. I am here with Pam and Linda from the weSTAMP group and 2997 other demonstrators. I think the highlight of our day was when we were asked by one of the Stampin' Up! staff to assist them with a card challenge using the Under the Stars Stamp set for the Just for Kids Campaign. We were given the stamp set, and after mounting it we were to use the supplies provided and create a card. It was so much fun and we each got to keep the stamp set too!!
