Sketch Challenge

I created this card for the Sketch Challenge. I used Bali Breeze DSP, which I love, and took the colors that are from the paper to complete the card.

I used the A Beautiful Thing Stamp Set, and the Warm Words Stamp Set both from SU! I used Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, Groovy Guava and Whisper White cardstock. The middle panel is popped-up using dimensional adhesive. I used the ticket corner punch on the corners of the flower panel and the layer.

Color, Color...Snip, Snip...

Color Combinations and Ways to Use It all in one card
I designed this card for the color challenge using Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip for my colors. The Ways to Use It Challenge was to use scissors in a way you normally wouldn't. So I took the scalloped circle punch and punched it out from textured pretty in pink cardstock. Taking my scissors, I cut away every other petal from the punch-out. When you are done you have this pretty flower. I used the 1/2" circle punch for the center. This was shared by Tammy for the 3 minute demo at the downline meeting last week.

RECIPE:

Stamps: Priceless, For A Friend
Paper: Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink: Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip
Acces: Scalloped Circle Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Paper Snips, Double Circle Punch, Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, Binder Clip (non-SU), Dimensional Adhesive

Friday Night Stamping with Friends

Girl's Night Out
I had my 3 best friends over last night for an evening of stamping. Everyone brought food so we could make dinner (Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, French Bread, Strawberries and Cheesecake)...yumo! We each brought a shoebox swap to stamp. We had a great time!! Here are the projects we made:

Jean's card - Gate-Fold Card using the Embrace Life Stamp Set

Vicki's Card - Long Notes Card using the Blossoms Abound Set

My card - Flap Fold Card using the Tart & Tangy Set & Fundamental Phrases

Chat was having a difficult day and left her project at home. LOL Gotta love her!
So here is a bonus project that Jean brought. She found the idea here on SCS.
Use 2 scallop circle punches, and 2 Hershey's nuggets. A corset for your chocolates!

Sharing More from VSN

Rolling Out The Red Carpet

This challenge was to use RED as your focal point on a card. I used the Always stamp set and stamped everything in red. The distressing tool was used around the red center rectangle to add dimension. and after cutting out all the stamped images, I mounted them with dimensional adhesive. I used the paper piercing tool and m
at to accent the corners of the white panel.

Another VSN Weekend Project

Handbag "Purse-onality"

WHERE'S THE POSTS?

Are you wondering why I haven't posted anything since Friday? Well I have been busy stamping along with the VSN Fashion Weekend over at SCS. It is a Virtual Stamp Night turned into a Virtual Stamp Weekend. The fun began Friday, April 4 at 6 pm EDT (3 pm for me in Arizona) and lasted until Saturday, April 5 at 11 pm EDT (8pm in Arizona), different challenges are posted every hour and you have 45 minutes to complete the challenge, upload your card and clean up to get ready for the next. I didn't get any of my cards uploaded until today, I even missed a couple of challenges due to making dinner and doing laundry. VSN lets you try new things and gets your creativity flowing. I created 15 cards total!! All are on my gallery at SCS. I will share a few here as well.

I Love My Threads
The challenge was to use thread on your card in some way. I used the Paper Piercing Tool Kit to make the holes and then used the Linen Thread from SU! to hand sew the DSP to the layer of cardstock. The horse was inked and stamped repeatedly without adding ink.

RECIPE:
STAMPS: Wanted
PAPER: Close to Cocoa, River Rock, Ruby Red, Naturals Ivory, Close to Cocoa Prints DSP
INK: River Rock, Ruby Red, Close to Cocoa
ACCESSORIES: Linen Thread, Needle, Paper Piercing Tool Kit, Dimensional Adhesive
