Blog Update

I think it is time to do some blog remodeling, so I have updated my blog a bit. The new blog header is my Build-a-Bear from Convention, her name is Bella Grace. She is surrounded by all of my swaps that I made for convention, both general and organized. What do you think? I hope you like it.

Stampin' Up! Convention Swaps - part three

Hello Again......glad that you have stopped in. Today I will share with you the 3-D swaps I made for general swapping at convention. I didn't make very many of these type of swaps, but I wanted to have some to swap just in case I saw others swapping 3-D items.

Below: Refrigerator Magnets using the Big Shot and Flower Layers #3 Die to form layered flowers with Build-a-Brad centers and a small magnet on the back. Some had a large stamped image from the Circle Circus set in the center.

Below: Bookmarks
(idea cased from Patty Bennett) featuring the In-Colors. I used the Circle Circus stamp set image to stamp directly onto the Whisper White computer generated bookmark panel with each of the NEW In-Colors. I cut a 1" square of each of the NEW In-Colors and adhered it to the bookmark panel. I laminated each one and used an In-Color ribbon on the top.

Below: Bag Tags featuring the In-Colors. I used the Circle Circus set to stamp the image with each NEW In-Color ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then punched each image with the 3/4" Circle Punch. Each 1" square is cut from each NEW In-Color cardstock and both adhered to the computer generated panel. I used the oversized name badge pouches (purchased at Office Max) to put them in. I also used a piece of the In-Color Ribbons at the top.

Thanks for stopping by, leave a comment to let me know what you think. I will be posting additional pictures the rest of the week. I took about 900 pictures and it is taking me a long time to sort through and organize them all.

Convention Check-In Day

Hello everyone I am so excited to be in Salt Lake City for the annual Stampin' Up! Convention. Today was the first official day of convention. However, I arrived on Tuesday afternoon, and immediately started feeling the excitement with all the other demonstrators around.

Wednesday was check-in day, swapping and memento mall shopping. Stampini' Up! is offering some awesome items this year as well. I am here with Pam and Linda from the weSTAMP group and 2997 other demonstrators. I think the highlight of our day was when we were asked by one of the Stampin' Up! staff to assist them with a card challenge using the Under the Stars Stamp set for the Just for Kids Campaign. We were given the stamp set, and after mounting it we were to use the supplies provided and create a card. It was so much fun and we each got to keep the stamp set too!!

Below: Me, Pam, Linda on Wednesday

Below: here we are creating our cards for the Just Kids Campaign

below: here are the cards we created
left to right bottom row: Pam's card, Barbara's card, Linda's card
Stamp set: Under the Stars

This was so much fun and we were so excited to be asked.
I will try to post a few of my swap cards in the morning.

New Butterfly Punch

Yes, that's right...my first order from the NEW SU! catalog arrived this morning. It was the perfect way to start my day when Mr. Brown (UPS) brought my box. I couldn't wait to try out the NEW Butterfly punch which coordinates perfectly with the set Flight of the Butterfly.

Here is the new punch shown with the stamped butterfly image and one that has been punched. Pretty awesome!!

Here is a card I made using the stamped images. I stamped the butterfly image twice, once on a scrap of Whisper White and the second image on the Whisper White card layer. Then used the NEW Butterfly punch and punched out the image and adhered it over the stamped image lining up the body & antenna of the butterfly. Viola!!!

Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly, NEW Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Cameo Coral, Whisper White
Ink: Cameo Coral, Chocolate Chip
Access: Scallop Edge Punch, Ticket Corner Punch, NEW Butterfly Punch, White Organza Ribbon, Stamp-a-ma-jig

Thanks for stoppin' by and check back later as I will post more NEW projects made from my box of NEW SU! items I am playing with.

Convention Bound...

and I must be organized. I had a planning meeting last week for the gals going to convention. We made these planners to help us keep everything in one place and organized.

I bought the spiral notebooks a while back. There were two colors either hot pink or blue. The colors match the convention theme colors perfect. On Board chipboard letters and elements were used and we covered them with the DSP.

Inside the back cover is a large envelope to hold receipts.

Inside the front cover is a pocket with an altered paper clip. I used the new set Circle Circus for the stamping and we used Pink Flamingo DSP for the embellishments. Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red and Old Olive ribbons were used on the front.

I printed the tabs on the computer using Tempting Turquoise cardstock and used the Rounded Tab Punch. I adhered them onto the pages using Sticky Strip.

Hope you enjoyed seeing one of my projects I have been working on.

...then wait no longer. I am not able to show you the actual items in the catalog, but I can show you a stamped sample I made using a new set that will be available on July 1, 2009 when the NEW Stampin' Up! catalog is released.

The In Color Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon is across the center. I used two of SU! core colors that compliment the In Color. I punched the circles using the 1-3/8" Circle Punch. No time to Stamp it is Dance Recital Week

I have been a part of this dance studio since my daughter joined in 1997....and this is her last year. Every year in June we put on a professional dance recital for all the dancers and their families. It is a way to show the parents what the students have worked for all year. I am in charge of backstage and getting the dancers from the dressing rooms to the stage to perform their dance numbers. I love working with all the children and have wonderful friends that help out to make the show run smooth. Here are a couple pictures of us this week. We are known as the "Pink Ladies", you can easily find us in a crowd with these hot pink shirts on!!

Technical Rehearsal Days

Here I have on my official recital uniform. I call each dance number in the auditorium for tech rehearsal.

Recital Staff ready to start the show.

Terri, Nancy and Me!

So now you know why I have not been posting anything this week. Thanks for being patient and come back tomorrow for a sneak peek of the NEW In-Colors.
