Convention Bag & Give Aways

  I am back home from the Annual Stampin' Up! Convention in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah.  I spent this past week with 3500 other demonstrators.  I am inspired to build my business and to share many ideas from my experience. 
 Wednesday morning we received our Convention Bag and later did our Make & Takes. (I will show you those another day). Later on during the week we were spoiled by getting many special goodies....make & take favors each day, new metallic pens at the awards after party, and 2 stamp sets during the closing General Session. If you attended the classes you were given a secret word and received an exclusive "I Am..." Stamp Set.

I received my name badge in the mail prior to leaving for Convention, so I added some Melon Mambo, Basic Black and stamped White flowers with Rhinestones to jazz it up a bit.

On the badge I added the Leadership Award Pin I earned and also the Convention Pin we received in our bag at check-in.

Traditional Tuesday at Blue Iguana

 It has become a tradition for Laura and I to team up and enjoy dinner with our friends, downlines and sidelines at the Blue Iguana Mexican Restaurant in Salt Lake City, Utah on the day before convention officially starts.  We had an area of the restaurant reserved for 30 and we had a great time seeing everyone again and also meeting some new friends.  We missed those of you that didn't arrive until Wednesday morning.  Next year, plan to arrive early so you don't miss out on this fun tradition!

CLEANING, ORGANIZING & SELLING.......

it's a constant thing around here.  I have been doing extensive cleaning and reorganizing of my Stampin' Studio. On January 4, 2012, I celebrated my 13 year anniversary as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.

I held a sale at my home over the past two days selling my retired/discontinued Stampin' Up! products, including stamp sets, ribbon, designer series paper, retired cardstock colors, and more!
I was very happy with the number of people that came out to the sale and the amount sold.  However, I still have a massive amount to sell.  If you are a crafter you know that we collect accumulate a great deal of items to support our craft.

I am listing the items on the ITEMS FOR SALE page of my blog which can be found HERE. You can check there for a listing and or photos of all the items I have for sale.  It will take a little time to get everything listed, so if you or someone you know, is looking for a specific set/item you can email me and I will see if I have it.

Dinner with Friends

After a wonderful day at Leadership, I am so sad that it is over. I am going to dinner with some friends tonight at the Lonestar Cafe.  Cowboy Up! and Chow Down!

I had a Margarita to drink with my steak, baked potato and salad. (I gave the roll away)

I had so much fun with this group of friends!!

We all did some shopping, and found a great little ice cream shop for dessert!  

Another day has come to an end in San Antonio and I am exhausted!!

Leadership Final Day

I can't believe it is the final day of Leadership. Today was jammed packed and I want to share a few highlights with you.

I finished with my organized swaps during lunch, then attended classes and then it was time for the closing general session of Leadership 2012 here in San Antonio.  I have had so much fun over the past 3 days.  Stampin' Up! has given us so many new ideas, also pointing us in the right direction for changes that are forthcoming and have given more all attendees giveaways than ever before.  It is definitely "my way" to do things.

Dinner and A Boat Ride

After the conference was over for the day, we went down along the Riverwalk to have dinner.  We found this great little place, Paesanos, offering Mediterranean and Italian cuisine.  The food was delicious!

I had a wonderful evening enjoying time with my special friends and walking along the Riverwalk. After a delicious dinner, we went on a guided boat tour and learned about the Riverwalk area of San Antonio.

Leadership - Opening General Session

Linda Rodenberg walked across the stage, this is her first Leadership Conference and she was being recognized for her promotion to Supervisor!

The morning general session was packed with so much information my head is spinning. Shelli talked about some upcoming changes to the Stampin' Success Magazine. Donna Griffith did a wonderful demonstration using a new product...Simply Scored Diagonal Plate.  After her demo she gave away a few via the Prize Patrol and I WON!!!!  I was so excited...this awesome new accessory will be available for pre-order to demos on Feb. 20th and for customers on March 1st.  Cory Hancock talked about upcoming changes in the catalog program including both main catalog and mini catalogs.  The session with Sara and Shelli on stage and a free giveaway to everyone.


A lovely salad and dessert was waiting for us for lunch!  I enjoyed the rest of the afternoon swapping, attending class and taking in all the information from the Share Fair.

Stampin' Up! Leadership Day 1

I had an exciting day today, the Leadership Conference has started.  I began the day picking up my bag at the Registration Table.  So cute don't you think? And I loved all the things inside too. The theme this year is "MY WAY"! 

This adorable gift was waiting at each place around the table where we we sat to do our Make & Take projects.  Shelli hand-signed the tag on the front and also there was a little box which held three chocolate bars...one white chocolate, one milk chocolate, and one dark chocolate.....I can have chocolate "MY WAY"

I have to show you all the Make & Take Projects later, as I didn't finish them.  I had so much fun talking to friends and checking out all the cool stuff in the Ballroom.
