Leadership 2010 - Day Three

Friday was the final day of Leadership. The morning was spent in classes, which again were so informative. I enjoyed hearing some of the new tricks using My Digital Studio in the advanced class. I attended the Gathering New Leads class and while we were waiting for it to begin I saw these two fabulous friends......

Patty Bennett and Me :)

Me :) with Stella MacKay (my secret sister on SA)

Me :) at the entrance to the Gathering Place, display boards, Memento Mall, Lunch, and Make & Takes were held in this room.

Another beautiful table set for lunch with lemon water, salad and a Raspberry White Chocolate dessert cup. All very delicious!!

Oh wait, it's 2 courses, this was the entree...chicken with cranberry glaze over mashed potatoes and vegetables.

Sara, my roommate and friend, had the vegetarian entree....looks really good!!

After lunch will be Closing Session, here are Staci and Sara first in line to get seats when the doors open.

Prize Patrol winner...Allison!!!

Shelli presented the Bright Idea Award to Jill Olson for her use of the Big Shot machine and Dies using Textiles...she made some beautiful quilts, table runners, and clothing that were on display in the Gathering Place. Then she showed us this beautiful pillow, and then WE ALL GOT A QUILT BLOCK....we can use this to show our customers another way to use the Big Shot.....Shelli picked out the fabrics, and the staff at the home office brought in their own sewing machines and made 1000 quilt blocks for us...that makes each quilt block extra special.

After a few more announcements and a highlight video Shelli walked out on stage and said she had forgotten to show us this card..hmmmmmm but we don't have a stamp set like this......
then she announced.... "YOU ALL GET THIS SET" which will be in the next Mini Catalog......this set is called Elements of Style and is from Shelli's Signature Collection.

How exciting to have experienced Leadership with one of my downline, Lorri Heiling!

Stampin' Addicts Leadership Dinner and Swap

Stampin' Addicts at the Leadership 2010 Dinner in Phoenix, AZ

Lyssa and I planned this event for 30 members of the Stampin' Addicts online forum for Wednesday evening at 6 pm........I reserved a private dining room at The Matador Restaurant, which was within walking distance for everyone from the Phoenix Convention Center. We gathered for an incredibly wonderful dinner, meeting new friends, putting faces to our SA names. The swaps were awesome and everyone did a wonderful job...over the top.

I made name tags for everyone so that we could get to know each other.

I made 6 mailbox table centerpieces which were given away as door prizes throughout the evening.

Lyssa made everyone a favor...what better than chocolate inside the adorable Bitty Box you can see one below on the menu.

Lyssa had the Chicken Taco Salad

I had the Chicken Chimichanga with Rice and Beans

After dinner it was time for swapping. Here is the card I designed for the swap.

Stamps: Simple Friendship, Well Scripted
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive
Access: Big Shot, Flourish Texture Plate, 3/4", 1" Circle Punches, Silver Brads, Dimenisonals
TIP: To acheive the background look.....run your paper through the Big Shot using the Flourish Texture Plate, place raised side of paper up, apply ink directly to the paper in a circular motion.

Here are some of the gals swapping

The swaps were awesome and everyone did a wonderful job...over the top.
After our swap, Allison was asked to share how she did the foil technique on her card....after she had finished Lyssa and I looked at each other and said it would be nice to have each person share a moment in the spotlight and tell us what inspired them to make their card and how it was made. This was such a great way to share with each other and think it will start a tradition.

This was a very fun evening, since we held this event on the first evening, the rest of the week we could spot each other and talk more.

Arrival Day for Leadership

I checked in to the Wyndham on Tuesday, late in the afternoon, and waited the arrival of my roommates and friends. Even though I live in Phoenix, I didn't want to make that commute each day, so I decided to stay downtown and I am so glad that I did. I had two of the most awesome roommates, Sara and Laurie. We had so much fun and enjoyed sharing stories, I don't know when I have laughed so much.

This was our suite, we were on the 17th Floor and the views were incredible.

Once everyone arrived, we went to dinner and took this picture in the restaurant.

L to R: Laurie, Lysssa, me :), Staci, Shelley

That was a great way to start the week!!
