Color Challenge Tuesday

River Rock, Basic Black, Whisper White

I am feeling so much better today, so I couldn't wait to check out the Color Challenge today on SCS. I love these colors together. So here is my card:

I used the Hostess set Sweet Dreams and the colors from the challenge. I cut out the three flowers, added a black brad in the center of each and adhered them with foam dimensionals.
The center panel is also adhered with foam dimensionals.

A Little Bit of Happiness

Good Monday Morning!
I have been sick (very sick with the flu) all week, and have been struggling every day to do something instead of laying in bed. I mounted all my new stamp sets and had lots of time to search thru SCS at all the past challenges I missed.
Today, I want to show you how I put my hostess stamp set, A Little Bit of Happiness, together. I can't take all the credit as this is something that was presented by SU! at the Anaheim regionals.

You will need:
A new set of Dominoes (bought at Target)
A Little Bit of Happiness stamp set
SU! Craft & Rubber Scissors

Take the sticker sheet and cut between the images as shown. Mount the sticker onto the plain side of the Dominoes.

Repeat until all stickers have been mounted.
You will have 21 stamps total.

Now this part can be a little scary.
Take the Craft & Rubber Scissors and cut between the images of the rubber stamp.
Start slowly and be very careful not to cut the image itself.
Trust me it can be done!!

Here you see the images are all cut apart and ready to mount onto the other side of the Dominoes.

Peel away the paper backing to expose the adhesive.
Mount each rubber stamp image on the dotted side of each of the Dominoes.

Viola!! Here is the finished set.

Now instead of a stamp set of 4, I have a stamp set of 21!!

They all fit in the plastic case that comes with the set.

Swap for Downline Meeting

Sweet Baby Card for swapping

Here is the card I designed for the swap at my Downline Meeting last week.
The swap theme was to use a "SAB" set or a "NE
W" set from the Spring-Summer Collection. I used the SAB set So Many Scallops.
I used the SU! small star punch to make a stencil. I punched the star in the center of a scrap of cardstock and used a sponge dauber and bashful blue ink to stencil the stars as a background.

Stamps: So Many Scallops, Boho Backgrounds
Paper: Barely Banana, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Certainly Celery
Ink: Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Basic Black

SU! Regionals with Friends

Attending the SU! Regional Seminar in Anaheim was so much fun. Getting away with special friends for the weekend and for seeing friends face to face that you only communicate with via SCS online. It was a weekend for both. Here are some of the pictures that capture these moments.

Here we are at the Anaheim Convention Center. I am on the left, Jean is in the middle and Chat is on the right. We had a great time!

Here I am with my online friend Tandra, meeting face to face for the first time. We are looking forward to more SU! events so we can see each other again.

A (Name) Tag Game

I have been tagged by Chat (nitestamper) to play a middle name tag game.

These are the rules:
You must post the rules before you give your answers. You must list one fact about yourself for each letter of your middle name. Each fact must begin with that letter. If you don't have a middle name, just use your maiden name. After you've been tagged, you need to update your blog with your middle name and answers. At the end of your post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and need to read your blog for details). Here goes:

J - JOYFUL - always happy and smiling
E - ENCOURAGING - everyone to do their best and be themselves.
A - ARTISTIC and creative with my SU! stamps & accessories!
N - NEAT - everything has a place and is in it's place!

Now my turn to tag:
Cambria - Stamp a Little Love Baby
Lorri - Dream Big
Patty - Patty's Stamping Spot
Laurie - Just Give Me Stamps

I've Been Missing from the Blogging World

Where have I been? What have I been doing?

I have been preparing to attend the Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar in Anaheim, CA. I have devoted the past two weeks to stamping my swaps in every minute of free time I could find. The day finally arrived on Thursday, Jan. 31, and I flew to Anaheim, CA along with two of my best friends for the weekend. We attended the Friday Regional and had an awesome time. Swapping, meeting new friends and enjoying all that the Regionals had to offer. I am back home and ready to share with my blogging friends again. I will post photos tomorrow after I get them downloaded off my camera.
