Stampin Friends Birthday Bash Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin Friends January Blog Hop! This is our first hop of 2020. This month's theme is Birthday Bash.  If you are following along the hop, you have arrived from the blog of Anne Marie Hile.  Be sure to read through my blog post, comment below and continue along to the blog of Melissa Thomas.  If you happen to get lost along the way, you can find a list of the Blog Hoppers at the end of each blog.
Here are the projects I created for this month's hop featuring the Honey Bee Stamp Set, Detailed Bee Dies, and Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper.  All products used are from Stampin' Up! ©

Bit·O·Honey is the perfect candy for Bee projects.  I filled a small acetate box with the candies, and wrapped a 1-3/4" wide strip of Golden Honey Specialty DSP around the entire box and punched both ends with the Detailed Tag Topper Punch.  I finished it off with Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon and a tag.
Side view of the box

I used Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends to color in the stamped flower images.  The bees are stamped in Memento Black Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock, cut out with the dies, colored with a Daffodil Delight Stampin' Marker.  Wink of Stella is brushed on the bee wings to add shimmer.  I used the honeycomb die to cut out the center portion of the card.

For this card, the hive is stamped in Daffodil Delight Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock, cut out using the die from the Detailed Bee Dies and placed on the card layer using Stampin' Dimensionals.  I used the Balmy Blue Stampin' Marker to color in the flowers on the DSP.
